Katdare bhadang masala makes your bhadang recipe quick and hassle-free.
- Dry roast the required amount of puffed rice in a pan for 3-4 minutes till crunchy. Remove from pan, set aside, and let it cool. In a hot pan, add some oil, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Add garlic and sauté it all for a few seconds till the mustard seeds splutter well. Katdare bhadang masala already contains curry leaf and adding extra in the tempering is optional. Add some peanuts and roast well. Switch off the flame.
- Once the tempering is ready, add roasted puffed rice to the pan. Add Katdare bhadang masala over this and mix everything together till the spices have nicely coated the puffed rice. Remove the bhadang and store it in an airtight container.
- For extra flavor, add chopped onion and chopped coriander to the bhadang and squeeze some lemon juice over it while serving. You can skip the garlic and onion if you do not consume it.
- Katdare bhadang masala contains red chili powder. But you can also add chopped green chili if you want your bhadang to be extra spicy.
